If you’re like me, you have an excess of energy for spring DIY projects. I’m always looking for easy ways to make my space feel fresh and revived after a long winter. One of the easiest things you can do to renew your outdoor space on a budget is to incorporate art.

Creating hand-written signs, murals, mosaics, and other garden décor can instantly add a new pulse of life to an existing garden. Let these photos of school grounds from across Canada inspire you!

    Hi Erin!

The popsicle sticks are such a good idea… one I could definitely have used a month ago, before I mixed up my tomato seedlings. Now I have one mystery tomato plant.

I’ve been thinking of painting my pots. They’re all boring clay color… perhaps this weekend.

  2. Anne: I know what you mean!

It was a simple thing, but I had fun on the weekend making markers for my container plants. I just used a bunch of popsicle sticks and a sharpie pen, wrote the names down and stuck them in the soil.

Yes, it helps my partner tell the thyme from the tarragon, but to be honest, I just really love seeing words mixed in with my plants.
